Hi, folks.
Without some hands-on experience, I'm having trouble understanding the behaviour of the TFR button on the Boeing version of the control panel for the Collins WXR-2100

Are all the buttons for the crewmember's individual controls interlocked (except for the GC button). i.e. if you select either TFR, WX, WX+T or MAP, does this make the other buttons pop up?

This manual says...

""TRF switch/indicator- ... The TFR switch/indicator is disengaged by depressing it a second time or by pressing one of the same side mode switch/indicators not already pressed."

Normally, interlocked switches won't allow you to push them a second time to make them come back up. e.g. the mic selector switches on a 747 Audio Selector Box.

Thanks for any insight.
Cheers.

Finally found the opportunity to play with this panel yesterday. The Boeing Maintenance Manual and the Manufacturer's manual seem to have got it wrong.

It's impossible to push the TRF switch a second time. As I suspected, it can only be unlocked by pushing the WX, WX+T or MAP switches.

Thanks anyway.
