My friend who isn't at all interested in aircraft said he saw a "powerful fighter painted yellow take off" when he was near Brough. The only thing I can find is a F35 they have received but this is only for static testing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It would have been one of the new Hawk T2's for the RAF on it's 1st flight. They are built at Brough, after take-off they don't return but land at Warton in Lancashire for final painting(black) and other finishing work.
ZK027 took-off yesterday(16/6) in yellow primer and was delivered to Warton.
Hope that helps,Eric.
