i've just found this website Luftwaffe night fighter control methods (http://www.gyges.dk/Wilde%20&%20Zahme%20Sau.htm)
and it appears to have the best description and illustration of Wilde Sau and Zahne Sau tactics, so in case others need to know, I thought it worth posting here.
