hi
i am 18 years old aviation enthusiast
i want to subscribe for aviation magazines
i am very unsure of which one to subscribe??

i ve chosen flight international, airliners world and airliners

but i can subscribe for only 1

i am much more interested in commercial aviation
like airlines news, new aircraft, orders, photos , current airlines situations etc.....

which magazine will you suggest for me?

Airliner World is a decent magazine, and would be my choice of those 3. Airliners is ok, not a bad read, but...

Flight International is just that bit too "techy" for me. Lots of things about design and research, quite a bit on specialist areas of the industry, and a lot about different companies. Learning that someone has developed a new type of altimeter is all well and good, but i'd rather see a focus on some exotic airport in the carribean, but thats just me!

Best thing to do, go pick up a copy of each, have a read through and see what you like in each one!

Flight Int seems to be the main mag out there - especially for jobs. It gives you a mix of mil aircraft too.
It can be a bit dull though so subscribing rather than getting the odd eddition could be a bad move (if you are able to get holof the odd copy that is).

Main problem with Airliner World is it is full of mistakes, particularly in the historical articles. Their research doesn't seem very good.

If you are thinking of a career in aviation on the management side, Aviation Business, which is a sister publication of Flight International.

Airways is another very good bi monthly magazine. The only downside is that articles that appear in Airliners tend to appear in Airways (and the other way round as well).

Airliners, tends to be more American orientated and is bi monthly, where as Airliner World is monthly and has more up to date news ,photos and articles, another good magazine is Skyliners,a German magazine:ok:
