Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with retrofitting one of these very nice looking bits of gear?

Looking for feedback on problems, how long to install, what equipment will it/won't it interface to (e.g 155XL GPS, Century III Autopilot etc) and total cost to get running.

Cheers,

UTR

Yes will be interesting to see if anyone on PPrune has done so.

It's a big ticket item (in the order of $25-30k US) just to buy it.

IF it will talk to the old gear you refer to, by the time it's installed and with the MAJOR panel work involved, you are going to regret not upgrading those old bits anyway. They are cheap compared to the G600!

The Aspen range is the go given it doesn't need a panel rework. Not in the same league in terms if screen size etc. but it's at least in this universe regarding pricing !

Just read an article on the G600 install...80-90k in the US.

You'd get as much functionality out of a couple of G430s and an Aspen Pro at 1/3rd the price and 1/10 the aggravation.
