Can pilots operate both types of aircraft like they do on the 757 and 767?

Thanks for any help

Yes they just have to do a differences exam. Well that is the case here in Australia. A bit like the DHC8-100,200 and 300

ryand36 - Yes pilot's can operate both types. License is stamped E170, but CAA allows you to fly E170/E175/E190/E195 with this type rating. The only differences are number of seats and MACTOW weight's of the respective versions.

I'm currently flying the E195.

Whats runway length do the two types require ?

I know ops are planned into London City. I presume there will be a restriction on passengers out, but due to high yield, would not make the operation of the aircraft in there unviable.

On the lengths of route to be operated out of London city we don't expect any capacity restriction. And yes you can operate both 170 and 190 on same rating.
