Hello,

Just a quick Question, VIR300 just departed off 9R out of LHR, at roughtly 18NM from EGLL at about 6000ft on SID, it switched on lights, like full beam and then a few seconds later they were switched off.

Ive seen this done often, its clear skies, and no traffic apart from FL290 at 5 miles ahead.

Two theories

1.) Hit the worng switch. :) :ok:
2.) Could be ATC called out traffic, and they turned the lights on so other aircraft could see them better....if other aircraft called "traffic not in sight"
