Hi,

just wondering where all the Alitalia Cargo (& pax) MD11 ended up?
How big was the fleet?
Are they all parked somewhere or sold?

cheers,

Alitalia had a total of thirteen MD11's and the four that are current are presently in store.

Negative Sir

One of the Md11 cargo EI-UPI was delivered last week at MXP for Cargoitalia.
Expect to resume operations according to the release of Alis AOC.

ALitalia had a total of 8 MD11, 3 MD11P and 5 combis.
the 3 all pax a/c have gone to Lufthansa cargo in 2003
The 5 combis have been converted to freighters in 2004 and have been phased out by Alitalia cargo on january 2009.
They have been ferried to dothan, alabama.
two a/c (EI-UPO and UPU) have been sold/leased to centurion cargo
two a/c (EI-UPI and UPE) have been sold/leased to Cargoitalia
the fifth a/c is scheduled to go to cargoitalia as well but a final decision has not been taken yet.
