I'm trying to acquire (either as a freebie or as a paid for service) digitised maps showing the FIR and UIR boundaries for the whole World (ideally). Ideally the boundaries should be in shape file format so are compatible with google maps and other geo referenced media.

I've tried Jeppesen and unfortunately got put through to a voicemail in Australia. So any pointers as to where I can get this info - even if it's a specific person at Jeppesen, greatly appreciated.

Check this out. I'm not sure if the data is upto date however it may be a good start.

Navguy74 - tip top. This is an excellent starting point and will probably provide all the information I need.

Many thanks.:D

In case anybody in the future is looking for the FIR/UIR airspace files in XML format then best bet is Eurocontrol - www.eurocontrol.int (http://www.eurocontrol.int) It costs, but you get what you need and it's from a verified/robust/up to date source. The kmz. files also work well once you've filtered everything else out - and they're free, which is an added bonus.:ok:
