Rumour on the street that a senior manager said recently that money was not a problem, but the AOA did not want it/did not ask for it.
Any progress is progress.
Surely this cannot be true.

So a new direct entry captain deserves same pay as someone who has slogged his guts out for 10 years at CX to get his command in order of seniority....are you for real!

Who exactly are you referring to when you say DEC's? There are only 7 DEC's who joined from OHK - are you really so annoyed about CX offering jobs to 7 redundant, very experienced captains at a time when they planned to park BCF's due crew shortage. The ex-KA DEC's don't count as they brought several aircraft with them when they joined. As for the rest the've all done a lot longer in CX than 10 years some having served three times that figure.

YES!!! I'm sure you already occupy the left seat that we will all see 10 years later. I don't care how long they were here before. THEY LEFT! They are at the bottom of the seniority list and should be SO or FO, full stop!!

How out of touch with reality can you people be ?
Experienced Captains all, thats why the failure rate AND retraining rate is way above norm.
Again, as JM stated, "takeover not merger". The difference is hardly subtle but your interpretation is self serving.

Usually when someone leaves an airline and then rejoins, they join at the bottom of the list. Not quite sure how you can argue differently.
