Just thought I would draw attention to a situation in the USA that might interest Pprune nostalgics.

The man is not looking for money - he appears to have plenty of his own - and he has some nice machinery!

It is all going on at this moment and his website is adding news quite regularly.

Rather few details that I can see.
However, the US Navy has a distinct policy...if the aircraft was salvaged, either from a domestic or foreign location (note, salvaged, not purchased as surplus equipment), the Navy still owns it, and they want it back.
A small detail perhaps, but if ignored, it can get costly.

But, given the last theatre of operations for this example is listed as 'Africa', isn't this surely an ex-French Air Force Skyraider?

Surely Courtesy Aircraft sales sell enuf warbirds to know to check the A/C US military status..:confused:
