Does anyone know of any opportunities in Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand for an experienced expat instructor?

I am a recently retired airline pilot with an FAA ATP and CFII and MEI ratings. I have had enough of line flying but would like to try instructing new pilots if it would allow me to get back to SEA.

All comments, suggestions and, hopefully, real information will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

A while back, there was a posting somewhere for instructors at a small flight academy in Bali, sorry, can't remember more than that. Good luck.

That's what I've heard too with MFA. My cousin is there right now working as an IFR instructor in the C172. License conversion can take 2-3 months. You only get allowance. The $2,000 USD/mth is a basic pay therefore you add to that your hourly rate while flying when you become regular.

The other school is Bali Flight Academy, they were looking for instructors.

:ugh:

Hey dude,

MFA is the BOMB ! .... not

After you pass your probation, you get 3RM per hour. If you fly 4 hours per day, then you will make 12RM.

It rocks, man !
