AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION

DECISION
Workplace Relations Act 1996
cl.2A(1)(b) Sch. 7 - Application for an order to vary pre-reform certified agreement
Qantas Airways Limited
(AG2009/1309)
Airline operations

VICE PRESIDENT WATSON
SYDNEY, 13 MAY 2009

Application to vary and extend the Qantas Airways Limited Flight Crew (Long Haul) Certified Agreement 2005-2006 (EBA7).
[1] Qantas Airways Limited have made an application pursuant to Schedule 7, Part 2, Clause 2A(1)(a) and (b) of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (Cth) (the Act) to vary and extend the Qantas Airways Limited Flight Crew (Long Haul) Certified Agreement 2005-2006 EBA 7.
[2] Pursuant to Schedule 7, Part 2, Clause 2A, on the basis of the material filed, I am satisfied that the relevant requirements of the Act have been met.
[3] In particular, I am satisfied that the parties genuinely agree to both the extension of the agreement and the variations proposed; that none of the parties have organised, engaged in, or threatened to organise or engage in industrial action in relation to the agreement; that no protected action ballot application has been made under s.451 of the Act in relation to proposed industrial action; and, that the agreement as varied would not result, on balance, in a reduction to overall terms and conditions of employment for those bound by the agreement under any award or law.
[4] The Agreement will be varied and extended as sought with effect from 13 May 2009.
[5] An order will be issued accordingly.
BY THE COMMISSION:
VICE PRESIDENT

I don't think anyone bothered to take a majority vote on that issue, did they?

I believe only 3 people in FAAA says ok, so it was set in stone.

Heads Down... This agreement relates to Longhaul Flight Crew. It has nothing whatsoever to do with cabin crew. And it was voted on by the entire pilot body, not the 3 officials of the international FAAA.
:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

If you think about it heads_down has to be a plant from either the company or someone who doesn't want us to be here (funbags).
The deliberate attempt to sound illiterate, the ridiculous posts and then the refusal to delete his post even after it has shown to be absurd.
Not even one of the visitors could be that imbecilic,it has to be funbags or one of his mates.

Heads down sounds like one of many crew who talk crap in galleys without any idea what they are talking about.
