Ormond Beach... closed??

Guys, is Ormond Beach aviation, Florida, closed or having a revamp??

Been trying to contact them chasing some money up for about a week!

Or maybe Adrian Thomson has figured out what I'm doing and blocked me, wouldn't be beyond the rhelms of possibility!

I was there, on site, just one hour ago - people everywhere, airplanes flying, OBA is most assuredly and absolutely in business.

How are you trying to contact them? If e-mail won't work, remember there's a freephone number, or you might even PM me as I do the ground school at OBA and can more than likely find someone to talk to you.

You may be winding up in their ISP's spam catcher. I have a client in India whose messages always gets caught there, but the pill ads always manage to get through.

Glad to hear you've made contact, hope everything works out properly. I'm a great proponent of good customer service - it should be prompt, personal and professional. After all, customers are what keeps everyone in business, right?

Chard, the house/hangar is coming along nicely, we have electricity so the huge hangar door now opens with the push of a button (how utterly decadent!) and also closes the same way, it looks like the well goes in this coming week, so we're almost there . . . lots of work, learned to be an electrician (ZAP!! Bzztt! pooof . . . well that ain't right . . . ) and a plumber (sploooosh!!!! - yuck - glub - don't even ask) and a bunch of other stuff as well, great fun and worth every bit of the hassles. Really.

Tickety, on the BugSmasher front, did two aircraft appraisals. First was a powered parachute - gawd, you couldn't pay me enough to get into one of these things. It's a cross between a lawn mower and a beach chair - on bad LSD. Scary. Its being donated, so the appraisal was for tax value.

Second was a Glasair 3 - Remember the 300 mph/5000 fpm homebuilt we discussed? This is it. IO-540, two seats, all fiberglass, gorgeous construction. Big red knob on the left of the control console - works a Halon on-board fire surpression system. Won't carry much, but what it does carry, it carries FAST. Great fun, but I'm not ready for an airplane this fast. Bank liked the appraisal, closed the loan. Everyone happy.
