Hi guys,

During that period of time where all of us are fasten our seat belt to see our nice CEO targetting his financial goal , some questions are still pending and I would appreciate your smart comments ...:O

1/ Since a couple of months our seniority list has been issued without mentionning who is capt and who is f/o... why?
RH was quite ok to put back the old seniority list... We are still waiting.

2/A lot of pilots are complaining about the poor number of hours they are regulary scheduled compared to others who got more than 70 hours a month.
What can we do about it?

3/What is the use of this new bid system ?

4/what do u think about the last email explaining the airport authotities can stop a pilot from doing his flight if he has some financial problems with his bank?

Thanks for giving some good remarks : again there is no polemic to start , just to clarify some questions circulating in the EY cockpits...
:ok:

I'll try to make it as smart as possible...but don't expect much :}

If I wanted to tease you, I would say that we all are targetting our financial goal, he's targetting both, to break even and the emoluments that goes with that kind of achievement.

As for "buckling our seatbelt", let's be honest, what did you, as a pilot, to cope with these target constraints? Continuous descent arrivals when possible, sign on OFP fuel...?
We are not that under stress, are we?
Message is we're just asked to do our job safely, properly and efficiently when possible, crisis or not.

1/ True. As far as I remember, seniority list is updated twice annually, we should wait for the next update (?)

2/ Only reporting what's been said during the last roadshow about this by SG: they're aware of the problem and I think it's related to utilization capacity of the current software (software itself or setting I don't really know) used by EY. This requires lots of human inputs after being run. We should see an improvement in the next few months with the introduction of a new software...

3/ Dunno yet. I assume that in the past people were moved from a fleet to another without being asked, the bidding system now take into account people wishing to stay on a specific fleet for example. This bidding system will be more useful in the future when you have many other types.

4/ The memo does not exactly say that :hmm:, it only says that Immigration carry random passport checks, possibly bringing to light non work-related information. What they do with these info, we don't know...yet...
I am curious to know why they are implementing such a new procedure.

If some of our less honest colleagues had not ran off leaving bank/car loans behind we wouldnt have these checks!
I hear its mostly cabin crew but we all must suffer!

Yes but they have been checking our passports, information on the immigration system on the way in ……..arriving back to Abu Dhabi after a flight. Should they not check our passports on the way out, as if you were doing a runner, and you had bad credit you would maybe ……………….not be coming back!

Am I missing something?

As for people moving from one fleet to the other without being asked, never heard that happening...... where did that come from?

Well, it happened.

You are lucky that you only have those checks as you depart. Those in India in the 80's and early 90's had to produce a mountain of paperwork each time they left. .........and if it wasn't exactly right, either you did not leave or the various folk on the way out wanted some assistance.....

Thanks shortfuel for these very " politically correct" replies.
Because you seem to know quite a lot about the topics , can you tell us why the trade system( the one for flights swapping) never works?

Is it a way to get rid of the swap request from pilots?:\

What do you exactly mean in "never works"?

I traded flights many times without problems. The only times it wouldn't work were when I hit "rules violations".

Is it never working with you and/or with all the colleagues you know as well?

If you get swap requests, means it worked in a way...

To get rid of it (why???!!!!) : go to "Trip trade" -> "Personal settings" -> tick "I do not want to be bothered by other crew about a possible trade, unless I have asked for a specific trade myself and there is a possible trade match" ... not very fair though :hmm:

(and I don't know that much, it's better that way  )

AIMS or AIMS as used by EY is nothing but a farce. One request each month which has to be assigned manually before rosters are run....come on it is indeed *&*&^%%$

Come on dont tell AIMS DOES NOT WORK... I am sure it works perfectly for Shortfuel:yuk::ugh:
You just have to open the right page my dear...!!!

By the way shortfuel , when explained my difficulties to swap a flight using the AIMS system , the CrewControllers were absolutely not surprised and confirmed me it happens quite often... but not for you!
Lucky guy you are!:}

Trip trade has never worked for me. Any trade that was successful was via telephone.

Lucky guy you are!

You have no idea...

As for the rest of your post and your effort to play it sarcastic, what to say...I feel sorry for you :O.

To ETIHAD.

Dont worry mate, something should happen very soon concerning that AIMS system and SG.

To SHORTFUEL.

I was just putting a bit of sarcasm because a lot of pilots are complaining which means that obviously the trade system does not work so perfectly.
Dont feel sorry for me my dear, but I hope you would never get into problems,
because we will all feel sorry for .. you!:E
