As a well travelled group of individuals I'm sure some ppruners have tried cobra blood.

I've just refused a cobra blood drinking by a normally sane person as she says it's a good way to clean out allergies etc out of your system.

As far as I'm concerned this is a bunch of jungle witch doctor hokus pokus

I've eaten fried cockroaches and bamboo worm in Bangkok after a few beers but draw the line at cobras , scorpions , spiders etc.

Anyone tried it ? Did you feel better ?

:bored:

Aseanaero......I think this 'borderline purvey things to do with reptiles. If that's your 'turn on' cool. You kill a snake, to drink its blood?

I have pals who are farmers in North Wales who would never 'steep' so low as to this vulgar/perverted (bookings pm) 'instance' as to drink the blood of vipers.

Daz.

Hi Daz,

I'm not going to drink cobra blood.

Trying to figure out why so many Asians drink it !

I've heard everything from allergy relief to aphrodisiac

No idea, but people will eat anything if they think it improves their sack rate (sorry, bad diving pun :}).
Have you seen/tried snake wine? Bottle of dodgy looking spirit with a dead snake in the bottom. The scales fall off and float around in the drink :yuk::yuk:.
Aussie pax used to bring them back from Asia for their bar displays, which incurred the wrath of Quarantine and dry retching from everyone else in the baggage hall...

Whilst based in HKG I regularly witnessed the snake sellers in the street, usually in a very public place and always surrounded by hoards of locals waving their dollars to get the best snake! They took from mesh circular baskets the live snake of choice and then proceed to stanley knife it from under the chin to its arse and then simply flick its inards out into a bowl. All this is going on whilst the mob are breaking their necks to get in on the action. The liver and bile duct is reputed to be the life giver and bedroom enhancer so thats the most expensive cut! Some blood goes in and a little rice wine and down the hatch it goes. The remnants of the poor slither are left in a heap on the ground to be taken by whoever wants them. I once asked the ringleader, what was his best seller? He answered cobra followed by 3 liver soup, what is this you ask? Same deal as before but with liver of cat, snake and chicken all washed down with some blood and what ever else is your tipple. I have some poor quality photo's of this barbarism which if you pm me your email I will send on.

Boo hiss.......GGR

I once ate a snake & immediately was able to do the most complicated of sums.

It was an adder.............:):{

The Chinese Emperor Chin in his search for immortality drank Mercury,he did not find it but oddly enough he appeared to suffer none of the usual side effect as he was as mad as a hatter before he sipped on the quicksilver.

But group 'ferret fondling' is non-pervy and acceptable in Northern Wales ....
