Hi,

Just wondering what is the absolute cheapest manner of getting the ATPL's done?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Check out Keilir Aviation Academy in Iceland. Spoke with them at the Flyer exhibition in London last month.

Prices start at 29.000 EUR for a frozen ATPL (JAA) with accomodation included.

Think they operate a brand new Diamond fleet, website is Keilir.net (http://www.keilir.net)

the ATPL's
Do you mean just the ATPL ground exams or a CPL/IR with ATPL theory credits?

Cheers

You would recommend spending money in Iceland?

The exchange rate makes it one of the most affordable training available in Europe at the moment.

Brand new fleet, and housing inclusive makes it absolutely worth considering.

Recommend sending them an e-mail for further info!

I meant just for the ground school exams, database, revision time in classroom and books.

I know OATS have an option for 999pounds but just wondering has anyone found a way of doing it cheaper.

Will certainly keep that Icelandic option in mind for CPL/IR, paying as I go mind you.

Thanks!

Just looked up that Icelandic school and the figure of e29,000 is for cpl/ir only. I think it's about e45,000 for zero to hero....

According to the website 29.842 EUR includes the Theoretical ATPL, all books and examination fees.

FYI they do Distance learning, using the Nordian system (from London Met. Univ)

I was told, if you enroll before July 1st you will get a 10% discount, and they offer pay as you go!

CATS is also £999 and I dont think theres any cheaper around in terms of ATPL groundschool.
