Can anyone shed any light on this for me? If my duty starts on, say, the 31 of Jan, and finishes on the 1st of Feb, is the duty pay credited for Jan, Feb, or divided between the two? I've just noticed that on a month where I was in overtime, my HDP was divided between the 2 months. Is this how it works, or am I helping out un-wittingly to the cash flow of the company?

Cheers

I believe it's calculated over the two months divided at midnight of the last day of the month, HK time, wherever the flight originates. That's always been my understanding from past practice.

Jizz: well done for checking up on them. If more peeps did this we wouldn't have so much stealing!

MR: not quite. the HDP is calculated and paid based on your Home Base local time, regardless of the time of departure or arrival. So, if you are Aus based, leaving HKG at 2330 on the last day of the month, none of that 30 mins counts towards that month, but all of it counts towards the next month's HDP.
