Isn't a light meal a bowl of lampreys?

I call a fake

Ultra-violet light should reflect back according to the make up of each individual spot on the dog. Considering that what we are looking at is fur, toes and nose the color reflected will be all different for these areas and predominately blue.

Even if the camera was sensitized to capture only infra-red there would be large differences between the fur and the toes and nose.

So who has some the data from their dog to illustrate this?

If they trained 'em as guide dogs they would be most useful when the street lights go out.

Yeah, OK, but you still need a UV torch.
