What altitude buffer does grid mora provide if you descend or divert off your LSALT for wxr/ a/c tracking etc.... (the squares on the jepp high/low/terminal charts)

A search using 'Grid MORA' returned two pages of information! :ok:

Seem to recollect that Grid MORA gives 1000' clearance if obstacles are less than 5000' amsl. If greater than 5000' amsl, then clearance becomes 2000'.

I think there are explanations on the enroute chart or maybe in the Jepp Introduction.
