I'm pretty sure I saw an Apache helicopter circling around over Southwark yesterday evening, anyone know what it was doing? I know crime in South London is bad....

Did the pilot have a picture of a bloke with a short neck and wandering hands?

It was the UK version of the backup Airforce one jet incident.
I wonder if anyone bothered evacuating their offices. he he

Apaches are very regular visitors through the transit route that follows the Thames through London, so at a guess (unless they were 'saying hello' to someone) I should imagine that it was holding whilst aircraft(s) were landing/departing London City Airport.

However, the thought of the use of these 'killers' in the pursuit of crime might just be the the very thing that is needed to make a change :ok:

You often see military helicopters over the City of London, en route to/from the military base near Finsbury Square.
