Rex Metro 3 Freighter services go West.

Just received an email from Rex stating they were canning Metro 3 freight services and replacing some with SF 340 services.

Staff losses will be some 20 pilots and 4 ground staff.

Last flight is 29 May for the Metros.

Dramatically decreasing freight volumes are cited as the trigger.

Hope you all find jobs really quickly guys and girls.

The Metro 3 service is being canned with the loss of a total of 24 jobs.
