Could someone tell me what type of helicopter this is please? I know nothing about these things! For info it was taken in the far north of Scotland on 30th December last year. I was stood on the summit of Cranstackie (just south of Durness) and the aircraft was flying west to east, maybe from the Western Isles (just a wild guess). Thanks, Vince

True, even I could recognise it :} Perhaps the challenge is to get the reg, and knowing the date, say who the pilots were :ok:

The Co-pilot was handling it when the photo was taken. It's totally out of balance!

Captain was wearing blue socks with green stripes as well.........

...and the Captain also had a bacon butty for breakfast, followed by a doughnut washed down with 6 cups of tea (NATO standard).

Co-pilot had a Pop-Tart :}

The sexual habits of the co-pilot are surely none of our concern.

Is the pilots american? :E

Nah, Americans can't make tea :} it'd be a double de-caf macchiato latte with chocolate to go if they was 'Merican:)

Anyway, the bacon butties and doughnuts (note, not donuts) probably explains the slight list to starboard. ;)

Blimey, I thought this thread would be dead and buried after my second post.. :)

Tail-take-off... No problem about the posting - thanks for the compliment.

If you want to see the where I took the photo, click here... Digital Camera pictures - Cranstackie and Beinn Spionnaidh, Sutherland, Scotland (http://www.lowefoto.co.uk/konica/page340.html)

you want what??... Like I said, I know nothing about these things! I'm mere SLF and never been in a 'copter in my life. Okay, a challenge then, what's this one (in the Murchison Mountains, New Zealand)....
