Hi

Does anyone know what Fuerteventura Airport Security is like with handling Laptops? Ive always been alright in the states but i have heard some horror stories about them taking them off you for a search only to find they have taken it apart or posting it back to you 3 months later! Not sure if those people are winding me up but I thought if anyone would know they would be on here!

Thanks

Been through Fuerta many times over the
years. I've never seen a lap-top taken from anybody. You just have to take it out of the bag [as always].
Enjoy your time on one of my favourite islands.

They are winding you up. All you have to do is turn it on* and demonstrate that it works .

*Unless you want a big queue to form behind you, use XP and not Vista. Better still, Linux or a clone thereof !

With regards to the US of A, it could indeed happen: No privacy for laptops - CNN.com (http://edition.cnn.com/2006/TRAVEL/10/25/laptop.privacy/index.html)
