Can anyone explain to me the idea/logic/thinking/why? behind the advert for a brand of paper kitchen towel in which two be-whiskered blokes ponce about dressed up as Les Dawson-type women extolling the vitues of said product?
Is it only me that finds it a bit disturbing, or am I missing an obvious point that the advert is trying to make?
The one thing I am sure about is that it doesn't make me want to rush out and buy the product. :confused:

How do you spell Mysoginist ? - I look forward to a bounty of answers in reply - The lawers would have a field day - Reverse the Hairy beards bit - Oh perhaps no ! in the interests of Waxing and Good Taste. You can only wonder at the mindset underpinning - (not behind ) these commercials

'Mummy I need a Poo, I want to Poo in Pauls toilet' WTF!

Who on earth allows this crap (no pun intended) to get onto our TV screens? An ad for a toilet freshner? It's bad enough having ads for Tampons and Pile treatment served up in between your fav TV prog without adding this sh:mad:t! :}

I (or my wife) always press the mute button when the ads come on.

I agree, Mr. D.

Think you'll find those kitchen rolls have been renamed to something totally forgettableHe'll just have to settle for Plenty of answers then.

www.stranglethemeerkat.com (http://www.stranglethemeerkat.com) - where you can think of numerous ways to see off the little russki meerkat.

The one's that get on my mammaries are the 'Have you had an accident at work? Then call F*ckknuckle and Sons, Personal Injury Specialists. You can find us in the phone book under Parasitic Leeches. We're so greedy we'd even stab our own mothers to win a case.'

I was watching 100 greatest ads or whatever (no I don't know why either) last night and it had the Guinness one with the surfer and the horses and the Smash Martians. More like that please. :ok:

I normally sky + stuff so I can whizz through the ads as they all do my head in.

I remember when ads on British TV were witty (Hamlet, Campari etc). Now, they go the for the banal but do they reflect society or influence it?
There was one reasonably good ad a months or so ago: 118 118 to the tune of "Ghost Busters" and a rather good "I ain't afraid of no goats" while a character released said beasts from the back of an estate.

Last witty one I remember is the Volvic one inventing the wheel + pole dancing.
