Relatives on EZY from malpensa experienced a go around at Edinburgh 06 today. Brother says they were on a rather steep descent path before breaking off for the go around . Landed safely at the second attempt.

Any you guys in the know over this.

So what.....

What is the big issue with a Go Around??? Or as mentioned, so what!:}

This is a pilots forum. It is not a place for every berk to come and ask for explanations of every go-around, delay, abandoned take-off, bump in the air..............

To answer the question you have to ask the two pilots involved. Everything else would be speculations anyway as there are plenty of reasons for a G/A.

I believe a herd of migrating wildebeests got through the security fence and temporarily blocked the runway on their way to the nearby zoo.

I've heard that there was a warning light illuminated on the approach that the Thronomesiter on the left engine had failed, caused by a failure of the cross-valve linkage assembly.

Fortunately it was a false-alarm, can't be too careful though.

guys you are all wrong. I can confirm that it was the failure of the falangy

rubbish... it was me in my 152 who had not vacated the runway on time... my approach was too fast so nearly overshot the end.:E

Pax mobile phone upset the left main tyre pressure monitor causing the warning horn to go off as the FO broke wind. SOP on smelling gas for some crews is to go around for another one.

Damned Pax again.
