Arseholed Over Again

We must all fight for something in return.Sure lean over and give them a month, this month but you can be sure next month or year they will come back for more.
Management over the last 20 years have been like an addicted gambler on a winning streak ,and have managed succesfully to devide and rule and as a consequence bought salaries down to an unaceapteable level.Hong Kong still remains as one of the most expensive cities to live in and even with this downturn I am yet to see drops in the cost of living .
Now is the time to stand up to them , when they need us to co operate with the SLS and bargain for what we need in the future.
We need a contract based on fundermentals that are all important to us namely
SENIORITY EXPERIENCE AND LOYALTY.
Not favouritism for certain groups.
If they are short of experience well they should learn to pay for it.
If local pilots want education and housing now is the time to loby for it
If S/O want a carreer path now is the time to put a stop to direct entry officers.
If we want a seniority based leave and rostering system now is the time to push for it.
There is a silver lining in every cloud and now is the time for the AOA to aim its guns and start negotiating to restore its credibillity otherwise we will be bending over again.http://static.pprune.org/images/smilies/cwm13.gif

Dusky problem with all pilot unions is that they are run by Pilots who have zero idea how to negotiate with management who have teams of fully dedicated strategists, PR spin doctors and number crunches. Its about time that some of our subs are used to bring in some decent professionals to help steer our unions, a team of legal, financial, aviation and pr experts. We fly planes. Most people who go for Union jobs are either idealists or management wannabees either way they don't have the time or the skills to look after our best interests as has been proven over and over again...

JF was the first effort in that regard all those years ago, and after realising we had a guy who could run rings around the co. negotiators

Dear sir - you deserve a prize for achieving the most laughable post ever on the Fragrant Harbour forum.
