:bored: Hmm, not so sure it's not a fake. If the model seen on the ground is supposed to be the one having taken the video, then it's a slow one and in the video sequence it takes a quick 5 sec spinning to come down from the 737 height.
That type of model can do this in 50-75ft easily. So, how close to the threshold was the bloke flying?
Even if it's not a fake, be aware that it actually happens more often than one thinks (been there, done it, got no T-Shirt:eek:.)

The full story is now at that link - sounds like model plane was purposely flown at a Virgin Blue aircraft on approach. Then the ****wit posted it on youtube. I am glad he posted it, because now (hopefully) he will get caught.

The mind boggles.

What on earth was he thinking about?

To time the take off so as to capture the 737 perfectly in frame is extraordinarily difficult.

I doubt that it was his first attempt.

The video is probably edited. Maybe he flew in circles for a while waiting for the 737. Likewise I am not sure you can judge the height from times on the video since some parts might have been snipped.

Either way, fake or real, this guy is an idiot.

IMHO it is fake. The 737 looks very like a computer simulated version. More likely an attention seeker, than a mad man bent on causing problems. Even if it were genuine, i don't think anyone would be stupid enough to broadcast it and risk prosecution, self-preservation being what it is.
