Damo was arrested, but was he added to the DNA register? I understand, and am furious about it, that you only need to be arrested, not charged or convicted of anything to be tested and registered.

Anyone got any better info?

The problem now is that the 'anti-terrorism' laws will be quoted. You could try the European Court of Human Rights. I have always thought that futile though, even if the court orders the police to wipe the record, they probably say, yes ok, and then leave it as it is. How would you know?

As I understand it he will have had his DNA profile added to the database.
Some might say that, as long as he has done nothing wrong (or does nothing wrong) then he has nothing to fear.

It's government law, the police have no discretionary powers. I would bet a fair wedge, he's on the database.

Unless, of course, someone decides to "frame" him
i.e. by "planting" his DNA in a whatever crime scene.
