It's a simple fact (like it or not) that when TT said that CX rewards loyalty there is a double edged sword implied.

Some extremely senior ex Managers who failed to demonstrate their 'loyalty' during SARS where given very short shrift when the time to extend came about. Their application was not even considered for a millisecond. Gone! One was an ex Fleet Manager I seem to remember.

You may think that is a good thing but you should know that if you are seen to be 'disloyal' you will almost certainly be 'noted' in a very damaging way.

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, I'm simply letting new guys (ie post SARS) know that refusing to take ULV when asked is a very serious stance to adopt and will not be ignored.:(

Up to you though.

Is that what's meant by the following line (para 5) in the "special leave scheme" policy:

"Those who do not complete and submit the consent form will be choosing not to support the Company in these very difficult times."

?????:yuk:

And what will those big bad scary managers do to the average SO or FO who does not volunteer? Delay their commands by 2-5 years?

Wait a second, they are already doing that with Extendee's and DEC's and possibly RA65.

Not give them a payrise?

No already doing that to.

Inflict a very painful check and training system on them?

Naaah, got that one covered to.

Make their contract worthless and ignore it at a whim?

I think you get the picture.

You can only take so much until what's left isn't worth keeping.

P.S, A Scaler. You can have all the slots you want if you retire. Guaranteed.

At the end of the day, if there is a list of 2500 "bad pilots" who gives a sh*t. In fact, we should just make our own list and hand it to them. This is business, give us something in return. Perhaps lift a stone and fix a problem or two! Say extendees/RA65 and/or work towards a single contract and/or freighter and/or BBP and/or........blah blah. Pick one. Until then NO UNPAID LEAVE.

Why even bring up the past? This is a different group and bringing up past failures should only strengthen your resolve not to sign up. Or did last time work out pretty great for everybody?

Already got a couple of the weeks confirmed through the last offer of UPL, which will now be offset. My application for the other dates went to the same email address... idiot.

What a perfect comment for an A scaler. Haven't damaged those below you enough? Eat your young, it'll all be worth it when you retire and get a retirement job (which might actually be the same job you've done your whole life but you will get paid less.) Terrific. What a way to go through life. I'd like to be able to look myself in the mirror though so I might try a different route. No unpaid leave.
