I subscribe to the print edition, and so also have access on line to the entire article.

I've never glanced at the ATC forum, so I hadn't previously heard the about "the future of ATC" as outlined in the survey. When they mentioned the proposed Boeing "flying wing" passenger transport in the "Flight of Fancy"
2016 scenario, I could not help but think of the disadvantages mentioned on PPRuNe - few window seats, and the extreme movements pax on the "edge" would suffer. (To be fair, it would have been difficult to fit criticism
of a flying wing passenger transport in to the "what if" narrative, but perhaps it is significant that in the end the passenger chose the 747 Super XS. But if taking the lounge out of the upper deck of the early 74s is mentioned, why do they assume that the A380 would still have its gym and casino in 2016?)

As for much about proposed mergers, alliances, airport congestion, fifth freedom and cabotage, labour issues - seems like I've already read excellent discussions on the same issues . . . here! :)
