The US Govenment acted quickly to grant substantial aid to its airlines. The UK Government continues to procrastinate. In time honoured tradition they will still be in meaningfull discussion when the whole industry collapses.

Foot and Mouth was initially seen as a problem for farming. We have all learned that the impact on farming was only a small part of the resulting catastrophe. The implications on the Country of the collapse of UK airlines is clearly even more wide reaching.

I urge you all to campaign for effective state aid to be distributed fairly amongst all UK airlines. The payment of passenger taxes back to our airlines would be an excellent start. Write to your MPs!

It's in the hands of the European Commisioner for transport.

Does UK Govt aid for UK airlines, mean ALL the airlines and not just the particular one who somehow think they are the world's best and thus the only airline who should benefit from a handout!
