I am interested in floating an idea of holding a Pilots Cricket World Cup in the near future.As it is considerably difficult to get 11 pilots to fill the team due to scheduling constraints, we could have a Six -a-side Tournament.
The idea is basically to have Pilot Association teams from all cricket playing nations to have a bi-annual Cricket Tournament with matches spread over a week and enjoy the interaction.The venues could be Test Match Arenas in Pakistan such as the National Stadium in Karachi,Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Islamabad and Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore(the venue for the World Cup Final 1996).The matches can be played under lights at these stadiums like international fixtures with white balls and coloured kits for players.
Alternatively,resorts in the Far East in countries like Malaysia,Indonesia and Thailand also offer an excellent environment for cricket and entertainment at afforable expenses.
