hey all,
I was wondering, is it possible to be a pilot with mild-ADD?
Can you fly or attend flight school while taking prescribed pills like
Adderall >> Adderall facts and comparsions at Drugs.com (http://www.drugs.com/cdi/adderall.html)

The medication you specify is a member of the AMPHETAMINE group and is a total bar to any kind of flying certification (at least in the UK and Europe).

Personally, I'm not sure I would like the pilot(s) of any plane in which I was travelling to have a Deficient Attention span, no matter how mild.
I think you will find that the medical authorities will react similarly.

Sorry if that's not what you were hoping to hear.

Attention Deficit Disorder keeps your mind and attention moving around everywhere. I always thought one had to have ADD in order to pass initial flight training. And then there was this pilot who was talking about his ex when the TCAS traffic traffic RA adjust vertical speed adjust clear of conflict who finally decided to settle out of court so yes one can become a pilot...
