Despite applications being closed correctly, when a new Firefox session is requested, a message appears that it is still running and systems needs closing down to reset.

Anybody know a solution?

Um? That's a strange problem. I usually left click 'file' > 'exit' do you have the latest update? Recon Saab will have the answer to this.

Have experienced this too. In my case, I opened task manager & killed firefox.exe. All fine after that.

Sometimes happens to me with Opera, so perhaps more of a Windoze 'feature' than a browser one.

I get that as well sometimes, I just kill it in process explorer and start again, I think it's Java related but I'm not sure.

My firefox is not running as it should do, made me wonder if it had been 'got at'
I am half a mind to rub it out completely and re-install.

I will seek advice from my 'puter expert.

Obligatory answer ... use Internet Explorer, it never behaves like that!
