Scholarships and hour building...

Currently have GFPT and wondering if anyone knows of any flying scholarships to help me upgrade to PPL? Any other uni students in my situation have advice?

And does anyone have any ideas of ways to build hours after PPL apart from just hiring a machine for yourself? Eg. Unpaid 'volunteering' of PPL flying skills to people - joy flights, mustering etc?

Hi,

As far as scholarships, there are a few about, most only get you to GFPT though. I think Mobil used to have one but not quite sure.

And as far as 'volunteering' etc, very thin line to walk, and might be what some call a career limiting move... if you are in fact considering offering joy flights etc to perfect strangers.
