View Full Version : Poor Half Starved Prime Minister

Poor Old Kevin.

Just imagine not being able to get the dinner he wanted on a taxpayers funded flight.
It seems strange that he can only remember a short discussion but not one that reduces a Flight Attendant to tears.
Another Politician's convenient loss of memory perhaps?
The smooth " goody two shoes " image is beginning to crack.
Maybe he has quite a bad temper beneath his squeaky clean image .
Makes you wonder what really lurks beneath the spin doctors image.

Kevin Rudd has apologised for abusing a flight attendant on a Royal Australian Air Force flight earlier this year when the Prime Minister was not served the meal he wanted.
It has been reported in News Limited newspapers that Mr Rudd reduced the 23-year-old flight attendant to tears on the flight from Port Moresby to Australia in January.
But during a press conference at the G20 summit in London overnight Mr Rudd did his best to play down the situation and he apologised.
"I had a discussion with, I think, one of the attendants on the provision of food. It didn't last very long and if anyone was offended by that, including the attendant concerned, of course, I apologise," he said.
"Prime minister's make mistakes. I'm sure I've made mistakes, that'd be one of them. If people have been offended I apologise for it.
"As I said at the time to one of the staff on the plane, that's it. We're all human, we all make mistakes, your prime minister included."

Rudd is an absolute control freak. He has turned over more staff in his office so far than the previous guy did in two terms. He is well known for berating the underlings..

Pi$$ poor manners indeed and on our money...

And this has what exactly to do with Aviation?

Just another excuse for the Howard lovers and Labor bashers to have a vent at everything they don't like about life.

It has everything to do with aviation, the incident happened on board an aircraft.
If politics comes in to it, remember, it was you who introduced it. :)

RAAF Airlines should ban the prick for life.

As Avitor has said it has EVERYTHING to do with Aviation.
The reasons for it having to do with Aviation are not too difficult to understand for those who want to and are:
The fact is that it DID happen on an Aeroplane.
Could it also be because it involved a Flight Attendant?

The feeble statement that it is just another Howard lover bashing the ALP is just childish.
These are the facts as reported and nothing more apart from a few comments about the behaviour of a prominant person who should know better.
Sorry to dissapoint you by the facts and some truths.

An elected member of Logan City Council in Queensland has been banned from face-to-face contact with council staff following complaints of bullying, harassment and displays of 'uncontrollable anger'.

The issue has reignited the debate over the best approach to managing and preventing workplace bullying within local government.

Councillor Sean Black has been prohibited from meeting with council staff, as recommended in an external complaints officer’s report.

Mr Price is also overseeing the anger management counselling Mr Rudd had ordered Ms Neal to take.

Seems to be a problem in all levels of Government. Maybe Krudd needs an escort while travelling on board taxpayer funded flights and to attend an anger management counselling.

This does have everything to do with aviation. If it was someone else, they may have had a good talking to by AFP officers at arrival at their destination. I would suggest the person who "needs to get over it" is the PM. Taking it out on a FA is inappropriate.

Anyway, a question.

Who is ultimately in charge on an RAAF VIP flight? The captain or the PM?

Nope sorry I agree with Krudd. How many of us have expected a crew meal and been told "sorry they weren't loaded", now its not a drama if you can grab a business meal but if the meal you expected is not there then I think Kev being only human is right to feel disappointed. No he does not have the right to rip shreds off the C.C member but we all do dumb things in moments of frustration and anguish. For this he has apologized..... and as he says time to move on...... there are bigger issues at play.

Did not know Krudd had a pilots licence so there can only be one person in charge. I know who would be in the hot seat if there was an accident and it would not be the PM.
