We presently operate with 6 consecutive days off per month on each line, unfortunately these are a habit, rather than contracturally agreed. Our latest group of consultants are trying to convince management that this concept has to be removed as they arent industry best practice!

Can anyone tell me what successful airlines are offering "consecutive days off" in their monthly lines, and how many?

Thanks

I think Korean Air, EVA Air and CAL (China Airlines) offer consecutive days off (not sure of the number 6 or 8) plus 2 days of annual leave per month. My understanding is this applies to expat pilots on commuting contracts.

However i am not so sure about this practice being part of the contractual package.

Ryanair, the airline they all say they wouldn't work for: 5 days on followed by 4 days off. Alternative earlies/lates. One full calander months leave per year, also two blocks of 13 days leave. These are made up from two lots of 5 days leave, with the wrap round days off.
