guys - it's the a/c maintenance base which is closing. TNT will still fly out from STN - which a/c tho remains to be seen, as the A300s are going......

they are off to the deserts of arizona, apparently six have been brought by the same company(not know who yet), and as for what aircraft, well it will be 757,s to replace the a300.;)

i hear there using seven 752,s, most already in TNT livery. ;)

Are you talking about the [SURE WE CAN] new livery or are
they done in the old livery ?

well they have been flying for TNT for a while now,so i reckon the old livery. but as they are increasing the work load, any new 757,s that come in for livery will get the new paint job, that is of course if TNT request the planes be painted up. time will tell. this is i hope only a short term solution until TNT replace the a300,s, i hear that they will be a330,s...sweet.:ok:

The title on this thread needs to be changed, it needs to say
that TNT a/c maintenance at STN is to close

This thread has caused many people to worry unnesesarily about their
jobs at STN and should by changed asap...:=:=

20 UK based pilots have been offered redundancy terms in addition to 30 LGG based pilots. All those affected already know the terms on offer.
It seems as though more than the Italian & Spanish 146's may go plus 2 737's,equipped with PEMCO doors.

True, but there are a little under 100 employees at STN TAY with every reason to worry. :(
