Hi everyone,

Paramount airways, based in Chennai recently had advertised for openings for Trainee First officer on the E170/90.
I called up their office and also got in touch with a pilot working in Paramount.
the deal is that you need to pay them Rs 25Lakh upfront for the Type Rating.

Please share your views/comments regarding this program.

Any idea how much Paramount f/os are paid during their training and once they are released ??

any inputs/advices appreciated ! Thanks !

Here are the links for the type rating cost... The info. is relatively old but we can still make out what the approx. cost would be for the TR...

Thanks Schumi....

@Ad...Line training is what you get when you work with the airlines, to familiarize you with its own SOP after you get a type rating from a training flight school. You normally fly as a co-pilot with the training captain

If it's like what Bad A. says it may be, then it doesn't look good especially in this economic environment. It's not exactly a govt. owned airline, where you can more or less have a semblence of a stable career.

Anyway I'll reserve judgment for now as I donot have much info on the company. Paramount Pilots, what say?
