15 years ago I held a grade one instructor rating. It has lapsed and I have been flying for an airline. Anybody know what has to be done to get it up and running again and what the work situation is like for instructors in oz atm??

Any thoughts or help appreciated. (Not looking to steal jobs from kids).

CAO: 40.1.7:
8 Renewal
8.1 An instructor rating must be renewed if the applicant has passed, in
accordance with the flight test report as set out in the flight instructor rating
renewal form issued by CASA, a flight test for the rating conducted by CASA
or an approved testing officer:
(a) within 90 days before the expiry of the rating; or
(b) at any time after the rating has expired.

Seems like a renewal...
Sound about right?

You are correct about just being a renewal, I was just wondering what I would have to do to go about getting a renewal. Recurrent training etc, and does anyone know of any flying schools that do these kind of renewals, (for those of us who are out of touch), on a regular basis?
