I used it a couple of weeks ago too.

It does seem to have vanished from the staff offers page on intraCX. Either that or I am blind.

Yes Mates,

It's official. They showed me the letter at Fedex yesterday. It's one specifically for Cx Staff, discount for all Cx crew has been suspended.

Well mates ,it's gonna be interesting to see how much MORE stuff we will lose this year. We sure as hell ain't gonna get more. Ohh well at least , for the time being, we still have a job.

Keep Smiling, PEACE OUT.

New CIGNA card numbers just issued as well. Is this a degradation of benefits?:bored:

The Fed Ex discount was an interline agreement. Not a benefit from our COS.
Fed Ex is losing money too and may have decided to drop the deals for some or all airlines.
I am checking with friends at other airlines to see if they were effected too.

Wonder if Fedex crew ever had interline agreement (ID tickets) on travelling with CX aeroplanes. Suppose that will be suspended too then?? :ok:

it was Cathay that stopped the interline agreement for FedEx - and they retaliated. Fedex used to do a lot of their company business travel on ID...

To the various people above: I was not criticising the crew (RIP)but rather questioning the MD-11. This kind of accident is happening all to often on that type. I was at the airport the night of the HKG MD-11 crash -not very nice.

I have a lot of faith in other McDonnell Doulas products but this one has a few too many problems. If confronted with a choice to fly on an MD-11 as a passenger with reputable airline "A" or another type with reputable airline "B" I am thinking I would fly airline "B".

BTW "Box Jockey" it is possible to make an argument with out incoherent ranting.

Perhaps I came on too strong. I took a sarcastic tone from your post, and if it wasn't intended that way, then please accept my apologies. Any time we lose a peer, it is a bad day indeed. Take care.

All is forgiven - and I am sorry if the original post came over as sarcastic - it wasn't meant to be.

I stopped in my local FedEx distribution center today to inquire about the CX discount.

The agent looked it up on her computer, and confirmed that the discount is indeed in place.

She then went to the trouble of making a shipping billing for an item she placed on the scale - as if it were an item being shipped.

Sure enough, the bill included our discount.

She suspected that the reports here regarding our lost discount were the result of a mistake made by the FedEx agent at the time, ie. by misspelling Cathay Pacific when entering it in the computer.

Today's visit took place in the U.S. I could tell you exactly where, but... :ok:

Airline code is 160 (internal reference)
I find telling them helps speed up the process.
