Ran over the TCAA list of charter operators. Seems there are a few companies in Tanzania too.

Anyone has some info on Kilwa Air? Seems to me like a nice little company. Emailed them a few times, even found other ways where I've tried to get some info on their requirements but (as usual) no reply.

I know they have a CASA 212, a Cessna 406, a Cessna 210T and an Islander B2N. They are based in Mwanza and stuff like that from their website.

Thanks in advance!

Company does not really exist anymore. From what I recall the CASA has been sold. The 210 was banned from Tanzania after it taxied into a caravan ripping of it's own beacon and the pilots decided to go ahead and fly without reporting it. The 406 was sold to Auric Air and destroyed during a training flight, sadly leading to the deth of both pilots. There is one islander left with one or two pilots flying it but not sure for how long it will be operated. With the curent situation in Eastern Congo and world fincial crisis their market has dried up a bit. They are operating out of Entebbe into Eastern Congo last I heard.

Hi There,

Just to get this thread back on track this is about Kilwa Air in Tanzania which was a very good and reputable private operation with excellent management. Great Job H!!!! NOT about some failed operator run by a Slick merchant who for all we know could be chilling sipping pina colada's on miami beach with all his millions that he owes people.....

Happy Landings

Pete!!!!
