any kind sole Sole? SOLE?

It's SOUL, now write it out 500 times!

Oh yes, the max length for a USB 2 cable is 5m.

You can, I believe, extend this by using powered hubs as repeaters, with up to 5 hubs, providing a theoretical maximum of 30m from PC to device.

As to where to purchase said cable - google is your friend. There are umpteen vendors of USB cables.

Here's an Active 5m extension (http://www.amazon.co.uk/eXpansys-USB-Active-Extension-Cable/dp/B00008W5BM), for example (like having a powered hub in the chain).

You are however, unlikely to find a USB A to B cable of that length. Use as many 2 or 5m USB Type A Male to USB Type A Female cables (active or with hubs) as you need.

You're lucky this thread hasn't been flooded with the fish punsters from Jet Blast, SD!

Maybe I'll tip them off.........
