Was just wondering what would be the biggest aircraft that DUB can take on a regular basis. The biggest on we have seen is a 767.

Then you haven't been looking for very long or very hard.

747s were regulars at DUB for many years, in fact Aer Lingus had 3 at one time and they were regularly on the ground together.

Air France have been running a 747F weekly (now sometimes replaced by a 777F) and Singapore had a 747F service until last year.

Aer Lingus have A330s don't they? They are bigger than 767s I reckon.

Plus some of the Middle-Eastern carriers operate flights to DUB. They'll have widebody equipment.

Etihad use A330s as, of course, do Aer Lingus.

Jeeps! Well Aer Lingus operated 747's for 25 years. They now have a mix of A330 200s and 300s which are a much larger then 767-300/400's.
Delta sometimes schedule 777-200's in not to mention a myriad of 747s during the summer months!

Indeed, Air France recently had a 777-300 in during a rugby weekend!

I guess it's down to how much you want to carry and how far.

SR Tech have had Virgin A340-600's in, but they would only be hopping back to LHR on light fuel and no pax off the DUB runway (in fact, there's been some impressive climb outs by empty "heavies" after their maitainance in DUB).

I've heard it said that, with typical loads, the EI A330-200 were pretty much at their max range off 28 on the run to LAX and on very calm days some high load A330's have to wait for favourable winds before departing.
