So let me get this right, the oil price peaked around October last year 2008. Since then it has come down a bit.

JetA1 has also been going down from a high around $1.68 litre plus Tax, now approx $1.30 litre.

To bad the poor cousin AVGAS has been going back up, October price $1.66 litre plus tax, and now it is $1.66 plus Tax, Funny that.:ugh:

Feel sorry for the sport aviation community you guys are getting shafted....

OK.. Looks like I made a small error..

AVGAS did come down from the high in Oct 08, to around $130 plus Tax.

But then went up 10c in Jan, 10c in Feb and another 10c in March.

So thats around $1.76 a litre.. cheap Eh!

Mean while JetA1 has been going down as has the oil price down about $80 per barrel.

So less flying on the way for GA with a AVGAS price of $2.20 by July 09 ????, why don't you wack a carbon tax on top of that as well

OK, you got me...

JetA1 June 08 $1.74 litre plus Tax
July up 4.1
Aug up 0.8
Sept down 9.9
Oct down 4.0
Nov down 9.9
Dec down 8.9
Jan down 15.8
Feb down 0.4
March down 2.3
Now $1.277 litre plus Tax

Avgas June 08 $1.64 litre plus Tax
July up 6.5
Aug down 1.3
Sept down 4.8
Oct up 1.1
Nov down 1.4
Dec down 29.2
Jan down 7.6
Feb up 8.9
March up 12.0
Now $1.482 litre plus Tax

Just seems odd that in June last year Avgas was 10c cheaper and now its 20c more expensive.

We must need them more than they need us, maybe its time to stop making Avgas as the profit must be quite small..
