Just had sad news from my friend Paul's wife that he was killed in a glider crash in South Africa a few weeks ago...does anyone here know any more details? She mentioned a suspected birdstrike...

Just heard from a colleague of Paul's in the SA mining industry that Paul was killed in a motor glider crash near Thabazimbi, a small town near the border with Botswana. Possible date was 1 March 09. SA CAA investigating the accident. Details very sketchy, anyone on here heard of anything more?
