Having recently gone snow flying in Norway, after I was invited by a friend of mine to a local flying club, I discovered the hourly rate was excellent compaired to the UK.

C172 and PA 28, 1050 krone an hour (approx. £105 an hour).
However you have to pay a yearly membership of approx. £250 to the club and the norwegian national aviation club.

Plenty of nature and space to fly, and now plenty of snow!!! But really a great experience.

Now I personally can't stand the C-152, for me it's close to microlight, however have not found rates in the UK beating this. And Norway is considerd a very expensive country.
