View Full Version : Jump Seat ride with British Midland

Hi there, just a quick message to any British Midland pilots out there.

I am a uni student (aero eng) doing summer temp work as a ramp agent at Heathrow, terminal 2 for British Midland. I am a very, very keen wannabe (which is why I got a job as a ramp agent) with a few flying hours under my belt and I would love to experience a flight from the flight deck.

Apparently the permanent ramp boys get a free 'familiarisation flight', but as a temp I am not entitled. However I have done some enquiries and one of my training officers said it may be possible to get a jump seat ride on a friends and family ticket.
If anyone out there has any information or advice on how to get a jump seat ride before I start uni again in October, I would be most grateful. I am always in and around the Queens Building where I see you guys preparing for flights but it seems inappropriate to approach you as you may be busy.

Once again I would be really grateful for any information.
Thanks in advance,
Nayan.
