Here's a really stupid question, but I have to know...

how do you pronounce PPRuNe?

Is it "pee-proon"
Or just "proon"
or something else?

Maybe somebody can enlighten me :)

Thanx

I usually read without moving my lips, so I've never really thought about it.

It's 'Pee Proon' or if you are asking someone if they are a PPRuNer then it's just 'Prooner'.

Definitely not Pee Pee Rune.

Thank you for sharing that with the rest of us! :) :)

(I wish I could remember why I wrote that! The item prompting it has been edited out sometime between 8 and 10 Sep. Oh dear, isn't memory a fickle thing?) http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/confused.gif

Simple Chaps,
It's pronounced " PRYUNE " but SPELT Prune.
Anyone remember the safety mags in the crew room?

Any connection with Pilot Officer Percy Prune?
(am I sad or what)

Capt PPRuNe

If it is Pee Proon, why are we not Pee Prooners?

Victor B1a

I believe that the safety mag was called Air Clues. It contained a series of cartoons about an accident prone pilot called Pilot Officer Prune. I thought that his name was pronounced Proon, but am prepared to be corrected.

PS You're all welcome on my flight deck whatever you call yourselves.

CP ... thanx. I didn't automatically make the leap of logic to the contraction "Prooner/s".

From what I recall from the May Ash Bash...

Peter in his Piper picked up a pax load of Pickled Pruners;
A pax load of Pickled Pruners Peter in his Piper picked up.
If Peter in his Piper picked up a pax load of Pickled Pruners,
Where's the pax load of Pickled Pruners Peter in his Piper picked up?
